The Siege of Grolle

During the Saxion’s Smart Solutions, I worked together with 7 others to create an interactive city tour through Groenlo (prototype). As the player, you will be taken back in time to the year 1627. We made use of Augmented Reality to create this. During this project I focused on the map for the city tour. I retraced the streets of Groenlo inside Illustrator, whereby I created my own 2D design. Besides that, during the game the player would be guided to several important landmarks. I’ve been modeling these landmarks inside Cinema4D to add them on the map. After modeling these landmarks I’ve been animating them. So when the player unlocked a landmark, this landmark would ‘pop up’ in a fun way to indicate to the player that it’s unlocked.
