The Cuckoo Calls

“The Cuckoo Calls” marks the grand finale of my Animation Master’s journey at AKV St. Joost. I’m thrilled to share that this film has garnered recognition from multiple esteemed film festivals.

“The Cuckoo Calls” unfolds the narrative of a bird residing within a cuckoo clock, accompanied by its amiable robotic companion. Together, they embark on a journey that challenges the bird to venture beyond its comfort zone and explore the vastness of the outside world.

Having undertaken the roles of director, animator, and designer, I’ve poured my creative vision into every aspect of the film. The musical composition comes courtesy of Max Schippers, complemented by the sound design crafted by Vincent Man.
